2024 is the fifth anniversary of the Anti-Extradition Protest, and also my fifth year of music-art-activism. Here I share my journey and hope to use the power of arts and music in uniting people across cultures.
First, a friendly reminder about my upcoming concert on November 2, 7 pm - The People United, in North York's Meridian Arts Centre. We will commemorate the 2019 Anti-Extradition Protest, the 2014 Umbrella Revolution, the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, and also extend to Ukrainian and Iranian diaspora communities through music, art, and dance.

Witnessing 2 million Hong Kongers protesting on June 16, 2019 deeply touched me. The painting above depicts a moment from that day when protesters made way for an ambulance to pass through. This experience marked the beginning of my journey into activism. My first painting for Hong Kong was inspired by the events of July 21, 2019, when the white shirt mafia collaborated with the Hong Kong police to viciously attack civilians. This incident shook us all, signaling the collapse of the rule of law in Hong Kong.
To support various organizations for Hong Kong, I participated in concerts and events in different cities such as Toronto, London, Leeds, Sutton, Hague, and Vancouver. In 2023, I purchased a portable piano, enabling me to play music on the streets and perform for audiences as big as 2500 people!
After I began sharing my art on the internet, my bond with the people of Hong Kong grew stronger as my works were exhibited in various cities including New York, London, Toronto, Vancouver, Tokyo, Prague, and The Hague. Explore my paintings dedicated to Hong Kong here.
I also wrote and arranged music for Hong Kong and Iran.
I often bring my art and music to street protests, meeting other like-minded individuals.
I have also created artwork for Iran and Ukraine.
Wrapping up this blog, I am pleased to present articles from the Chinese State Media that 'expose' my alleged crimes of "separatism" and "violating the National Security Law" in relation to my arts and music. Click here for English translations.
