Mourning at Prince Edward Station

Acrylic on canvas

18 x 24 in.
Executed in 2020

On 8-31-2019, HK Police indiscriminately beat civilians inside Prince Edward MTR Subway Station. Many suffered serious head injuries, and some has allegedly been killed. Since then on last day of each month, Hong Kongers had been mourning those injured and murdered by putting flowers at the entrance of the subway station.

However, CCP has now banned anymore such flower memorial at the entrance of Prince Edward MTR Station, in order to erase history and people's memory. Just like how they banned any mentioning of Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989 June 4.
