On June 16, 2019, 2 million Hong Kongers took to the streets in protest against the extradition bill that would have allowed criminals suspects to be extradited to mainland China, which has opaque legal system, rampant corruption, gross violations of human rights including the use of torture and organ harvestings of political dissidents. Hong Kongers understood that this law will be used to target political dissidents and activists, and to suppress press freedom and eliminate the rule of law in Hong Kong.

Tall building with stripes on the left is Walden Hotel on Hennessy Road.  Title of this painting has "+1" to symbolize Marco Leung, who just committed suicide in protest against the extradition bill, as marching with us.
